The Chicago Bears have built more character in their fans than most franchises build in a century. Unfortunately, character is not a stat that shows up in the standings.

Bears fans know football. They know it deeply, historically, and with the kind of reverence that comes from a franchise that gave the world Walter Payton, Dick Butkus, Mike Singletary, Gale Sayers, and the 1985 Bears — one of the most dominant teams in NFL history, a team so good they recorded a rap song about themselves and it was completely justified.

The problem is that 1985 was a long time ago. Since then, Bears fans have watched a parade of quarterbacks come and go, each one arriving with hope and departing with a story. Jim McMahon. Jim Harbaugh. Erik Kramer. Cade McNown. Rex Grossman, who took them to a Super Bowl and somehow made it feel like a near-miss and a miracle at the same time. Jay Cutler, who was talented and complicated and never quite got there. Mitchell Trubisky. Justin Fields, who could run like no one they'd ever seen and couldn't quite make the rest of it work consistently enough.

Through all of it, Bears fans kept showing up. They kept tailgating in the cold at Soldier Field, kept believing in the rebuild, kept talking about the defense, kept wearing the navy and orange with the kind of stubborn pride that only comes from genuinely loving something that doesn't always love you back.

That's character. Real character. The kind you can't manufacture.

The Chicago Bears Character tee is for the fan who has it. Da Bears.
